Affiliate Disclosure

How Prella makes money — and why that's good for you.

Amazon Associates disclosure: Prella is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, Prella earns from qualifying purchases.

The plain-English version

Prella is free to use. We don't charge you anything — not for the plan builder, not for the shopping list, not for the articles.

Instead, some of the products we recommend link to Amazon. If you click one of those links and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission — usually 1–4% of the purchase price. You pay exactly the same amount you would have anyway. The commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not yours.

That's the whole model. No hidden fees, no upsells, no sponsored placements.

How we choose what to recommend

We built Prella for beauty pros — and one of our co-founders, Paulina, is a licensed esthetician who has actually opened a practice. The products on Prella are the ones she uses or would buy.

We don't take paid placements. We don't swap in higher-commission products when a better one exists at a lower commission. We don't recommend things we wouldn't put in our own treatment room.

If a product we link to has a bad review pattern or we find a better alternative, we update the recommendation — regardless of what it does to our earnings.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links appear in two places on Prella:

  • Your shopping list — the personalized equipment list generated after you complete the plan builder.
  • Articles — when we recommend a specific product in a guide, those links may be affiliate links.

We always disclose affiliate relationships at the bottom of any page that contains them: "Links may earn us a small commission at no cost to you."

Other affiliate programs

In the future, Prella may also participate in affiliate programs for booking software, insurance providers, or other beauty industry tools. If we do, we'll update this page and disclose those relationships the same way.
